The Konkani Catholic Welfare Association (KCWA) held its 13th Annual General Meeting on the 11th of August 2024 at Patel’s Inn, RT Nagar, beginning at 11:30 AM. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from the President, followed by an opening prayer led by Mrs.Judith D’Cunha. In his welcome speech, the President highlighted the importance of the upcoming Silver Jubilee of the association.

The AGM was honored by the presence of past presidents, including Mr. E. N. Shenoy, Sqn Ldr. Mr. R.P. Monteiro, Mrs.Judith D’Cunha, and Mr. Victor Edward D’Souza. Mr.Alphonse Chetan D’Silva presented a summary of the 2022-23 AGM, which was followed by the Secretary’s report for the year 2023-24, delivered by Mrs. Sharmila D’Souza. A short prayer was then offered in remembrance of the departed souls of association members.

Mr.Arthur Fernandes, treasurer provided a detailed discussion on the financial status of the association offering a comprehensive overview of the financials as of March 2024. He ensured that all members were well-informed about the association's current financial health.

Following the reports, the success of the current committee was acknowledged and the outgoing President Mr.Peter Pinto was honored for his dedicated service by Sqn Ldr. Mr. R.P. Monteiro, Mrs.Judith D’Cunha was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the President as a token of appreciation and the current executive committee was officially dissolved.

Mrs.Judith D’Cunha was appointed as the Electoral Officer to oversee the elections for the new managing committee for the term 2024-2026. The election results are as follows:

The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Leo Lewis the newly elected Vice President. The newly elected executive committee was warmly greeted by the members Mr.Joseph Sequeira offered the closing prayer and the day concluded with a fellowship lunch signifying the start of a new chapter for KCWA.
