The 58th Annual General Body Meeting of the Konkan Catholic Association, Mathikere Bangalore, was held with immense enthusiasm on 13 July 2025 at Konkan Bhavan, Mathikere. This significant gathering celebrated the association’s achievements, honored distinguished members, and strengthened community bonds.
The day began at 9:30 AM with a solemn Mass celebrated by Rev Dr Fr. Francis Assisi D’Almeida, whose reflective sermon deeply resonated with the attendees and set a thoughtful tone for the day’s proceedings.
Antony Gonsalves, Vice President, served as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the program smoothly.
Edwin Lobo, President of KCA Mathikere, extended a heartfelt welcome to members and their families, including past presidents and the Chief Guests,
Mr. & Mrs. Valerian Fernandes, esteemed members of the association.
Other dignitaries present included Rev. Dr Fr. Francis Assisi D’Almeida (Returning Officer), Vincent D’Souza (FKCA General Secretary), Richard D’Sousa (President KCS Dasarahalli), Nanjunda Poojary, and all former KCA presidents.
Elias Fernandes (Secretary) presented the Annual Report for 2024–25.
Sangeet Rego (Treasurer) delivered the Financial Report for 2024–25, both of which were approved unanimously by the General Body.
The meeting concluded with outgoing President overseeing the transition to the election phase, conducted by Rev Dr Fr. Francis Assisi D’Almeida as Returning Officer. The newly elected office bearers for 2025–26 are:
