MCC Qatar Triumphs at ISC Ladies Box Cricket Tournament


Doha, October 4th – The Indian Sports Center (ISC), the apex body of the Embassy of India in Doha, Qatar, hosted the thrilling Ladies Box Cricket Tournament at Hamilton International School as part of the Winter Khel Mahotsav 24 series.

MCC Qatar participated enthusiastically with two teams, MCC-1 and MCC-2, delivering outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

The competition saw six teams divided into two groups, each playing three matches to secure a spot in the semifinals. MCC-2 faced off against the Fearless Fighters, while MCC-1 competed with Tulukoota Qatar in their respective semifinal matches. Both MCC teams displayed skill and determination, advancing to the final, making it an exciting MCC showdown.

In a fiercely contested final, MCC-1 emerged as the champions, while MCC-2 took the Runners-up position, showcasing the depth of talent within the club.

  • Maria Jacob was awarded the Best Bowler for her outstanding performance with the ball.

  • Shereen Nawab Khan earned the title of Best Batsman, demonstrating remarkable batting skills throughout the tournament.
