Report on Monthi Fest Celebration

Venue: Assumption Church, Rajajinagar

As part of the preparations for the Monthi Fest, a three-day novena and rosary were conducted at Assumption Church, Rajajinagar. During the novena, sweets were distributed by the members to the children, adding to the festive spirit.

On September 8th, the celebration began with a floral tribute to Mother Mary at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Solemn Konkani Mass celebrated by Fr. Richard Saldanha, OCD, Carmelite priest and co celebrant Fr. Balraj, the Parish Priest. The readings were taken up by children, giving them an opportunity to learn and cherish our mother tongue, Konkani.

Mrs. Veena D’Souza, Secretary of the Association, extended her heartfelt thanks to all the members for their support, cooperation, and contributions, which helped in celebrating the feast in a grand manner. After the Mass, Novem and sugarcane were distributed to all, and breakfast was arranged for the members, fostering togetherness and community spirit.
