Members of the Sezari community spent a meaningful Sunday afternoon on 8 th March, 2026 by
visiting the children of Balayesu Bhavan Orphanage, a home for destitute children run by the
Franciscan Sisters. The visit, which began at 3:30 pm, brought together Sezari members in a
spirit of service, compassion, and fellowship.
The community came together wholeheartedly to support the orphanage by donating a 5-litre
grinder, along with grocery supplies and stationery for the children. The logistics for delivering
the grinder during the visit were efficiently arranged by Sezari Youth Community Leader
Sherwin D’Souza, along with Alan Albuquerque and Sezari Secretary Mrs. Sunitha
Albuquerque.
From 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Sezari youth members Ms. Roshal and Ashish organized a lively
session for the children that included fun games and the distribution of snacks and prizes for
the winners. The children enthusiastically participated in the activities and thoroughly enjoyed
the time spent playing and celebrating together.
Following the games, the children delighted the visitors by showcasing their talents through
dance performances and songs for about 15 minutes, creating a joyful and heartwarming
atmosphere.
The Sezari members also expressed their sincere gratitude to the Franciscan nuns, especially Sr.
Lusy, Sr. Litty, and Sr. Leelamma, for welcoming them and giving the community an
opportunity to contribute toward the orphanage’s immediate needs. The visit concluded with a
few photographs taken with the children, capturing the special moments shared during the
afternoon.
The group departed from the orphanage at around 5:00 pm. On the return journey, the Sezari
members gathered at a nearby restaurant for tea and snacks, spending some time in fellowship
and reflection.
The visit proved to be a fulfilling experience for everyone involved, as the Sezari community
spent a warm and memorable afternoon sharing joy and support with the children of Balayesu
Bhavan.
