On Sept 8th, 2024 Sezari Association celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with great joy at Holy Eucharist Church. The festivities commenced at 11 AM with a traditional offering of flowers to Mother Mary, followed by the distribution of Blessed Noven, symbolizing the community's devotion and gratitude.
A solemn procession then led the congregation into the church, marking the beginning of the Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jaison Pais SJ. The Eucharistic celebration provided a deeply spiritual experience for all attendees, fostering a sense of reflection and reverence.
Following the Mass, a heartfelt appreciation ceremony took place to recognize the contributions of the parish priest and the main celebrant for their dedicated service. Additionally, sponsors who supported the celebration were honored with tokens of appreciation, acknowledging their generosity and commitment to the community.
In a highlight of the event, students who excelled academically were recognized for their achievements, receiving accolades for attaining over 80% in their class 10, 12, and degree courses. This moment served as an encouragement to the younger generation and underscored the importance of education within the community.
The event wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the President of the Sezari Association, Anil Sequeira who expressed sincere gratitude to all participants and supporters for their invaluable contributions to the celebration's success. Following this, attendees gathered for a traditional family meal known as Nove Jovn.
