St Vincent Palloti Church Hosts Inspiring Konkani Retreat Led by Fr. Nelson Pinto, OCD

On the 3rd of March, 2024, the grounds of St Vincent Palloti Church in Banaswadi were alive with the spirit of renewal and reflection as the parish hosted a Lenten retreat organized by St Vincent Palloti Konkani Kutamb. Led by the esteemed Rev. Fr. Nelson Pinto, OCD, the retreat proved to be a transformative experience for over 200 participants who gathered in search of spiritual enrichment.

The retreat, held in the Hall of St Vincent Palloti Church, commenced with a solemn Holy Mass at 11:30 am on Sunday, setting the tone for a day dedicated to prayer, contemplation, and fellowship. Preceding the retreat, a period of adoration took place on Saturday, the 2nd of March, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, allowing attendees to prepare their hearts and minds for the journey ahead.

Throughout the day, Fr. Nelson Pinto guided participants through thought-provoking talks and sessions designed to deepen their understanding of the Lenten season. From moments of communal prayer to individual reflection, each segment of the retreat aimed to revive the Lenten spirit and foster a deeper connection to one's faith.

Amidst the spiritual nourishment, the community also shared in moments of camaraderie and sustenance. A hearty lunch provided in the afternoon offered participants an opportunity to replenish their bodies while engaging in fellowship with one another. As the day progressed, light refreshments served in the evening provided a chance for attendees to unwind and reflect on the day's proceedings.

In his closing remarks, Rev. Fr. Joseph Fernandes, the parish priest, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Nelson Pinto for his insightful guidance throughout the retreat. He also extended appreciation to St Vincent Palloti Konkani Kutamb for their diligent efforts in organizing and facilitating the event, ensuring its success and impact on the community.

As the retreat concluded with a final session of adoration at 5:30 pm, the echoes of prayer and reflection resonated within the hearts of all who attended, leaving a lasting impression on their Lenten journey. Indeed, the Konkani Retreat at St Vincent Palloti Church in Banaswadi served as a spiritual renewal, inspiring participants to embrace the true essence of the Lenten season and deepen their relationship with God.
